Removed the head off of the 2.0 today, under the thick coating of oil that is EVERYWHERE the internals are sweeet. The pistons look sweet, though they have the normal coating of carbon, the valves are all straight and only two stem seals have gone 
One question though. How the fuck do you use a valve spring compressor. I can compress the valve spring, but then I get no access to the collet. I'm confuzzled...

when you compress the spring the collets near enough fall off anyways, if not just give it a tap

Already have done, got the answer and am going to the shops tomorrow to buy a different valve spring compressor

oh, the one I've got had a kind of cage where the threaded bit is on yours so can still see the collets

Yea, might try making a cage thingie on the lathe and welding it on... Halfords is sooo far away
