there are some ferking quick ones over here, saw one chasing down a 300ZX, which itself was burning up its rear tyres the whole time and not getting away from the micra. I was pleasantly astonished.

they are okay to drive mate, can be made very quick, and very very fun.
image is awful, and people laugh at you.
and they look pretty crap.

i love em though, lots of motorsport links also.

parts are probably about the same if bought from the uk, however the problem is the lack of parts available here, any serious stuff will probably need to be imported or made custom

for example exhaust systems, easy to get, cams, will probably have to import to get a decent set.

a lot of rally companies do micra stuff, but it can be expensive, maniflow do a manifold, and full system, costs about a grand though!
