Some of you may know that the spare wheel on a paxo is under the rear bumper. Shit design if you ask me!
Well my bro was doin bout 80 in the outside lane of the motorway last night when the bracket snapped and chucked the wheel out the back.
Result = 6 cars damaged from flying wheel, 2 RAC, 2 AA and 4 police cars.
Had to shut the motorway to find his wheel.
Interesting event i went up to him and changed 2 tyres for people
Just shows you never know what is gonna come flying down the motorway. Police said it was lucky nobody was seriously hurt or dead!!!!

It is the most shocking design ever, French cars are shocking, although Rachels old Fiesta had the spare wheels held up by a bracket under the car.

yeah but u seen the fezzie bracket?
i had to angle grind marcs off it really didnt want to part company with the car
but yes it is a shit design

My Clio has and i've never had a problem with the wheel carrier, but come to think of it i've never touched it !

The wheel carrier does need to be tightened up properly after you've finished with it, using the thing inside the boot (on the 306 anyway), otherwise it will come undone.
