Whats the best way to write a letter of complaint?

the story...

-I ordered a phone from O2 last tuesday.
-Told it would be 3-5 days for delivery
-phoned today to check what was happening, told there was no such order
-Phoned to reorder my phone, to be sent next day delivery
-Was told their manager would have to do it, so theyd have to call me back as they were on another call
-Im still waiting for the manager to call, and have had to reorder a phone, so, now nearly 2 weeks without a phone.

Slightly pissed off, and completely thick!

First of all just explain the full story, in a calm but professional manner. then slowly unleash the fury, stating you were under the illusion that O2 were a professional company that placed excellent customer service high on their list of priorities, but this illusion has recently been shattered.

Also, add that Vodafone, T-Mobile and other service providers wouldn't suffer this problem, and make a threat to go to one of these.

best way to deal with it is be NICE , if you moan and complain and say there crap etc.. you will get nothing , if i speak to a customer at work who moaning about something ands say were crap etc.. then i take even longer , so think about what you say.

if you start being arsey with them they will just fuck you off to another department & it will take you longer to sort. o2 do a quickert delivery service that you have to pay for. see if they would do this as for free as a goodwill gesture

Got a new Nokia from T-mobile. ordered over the phone, cos I wanted to keep my number & you can't do that if you order online. Phone came next day (on a temporary number) and number switched 2 days later - brilliant. (keeping your number means that I didn't have to do a full 30 days notice. I got the code from O2 the same day as i ordered the phone & O2 said if you take the number with you then the contract will end when the number transfers, not in 30 days as it should have been.
