It was parked at KFC, it was white and looked soo mint, no sign of any rust at all. Completely standard, and in A1 condition.
I got the plate too, if anyone is after a mint white Gsi they could try contacting the owner from the plate?

Why not just spend the money doing all that shite on making yours nice? Good luck with the conversion, personally I'd get the engine rebuilt before fitting but hey hoo

I wish to know where you can buy...
OE GSi front for £150
GSi interior in decent nick for £100
and personally I believe you get what you pay for so wouldn't touch a 100 note fitting kit or £300 respray with an eight foot monkeys cock

But breaking it for bits would leave you with jack shit. Spending money on a car you know the history of makes more sense to me but it's your money.

I didn't say it couldn't be £300. Just said I wouldn't have a £300 re-spray, mate or not. If you want I'll respray your motor for 80 quid.....
****searchs for the pink rattle cans****

why cant you get a good respray for 300quid??
you can get one for free if you know the right people. sassy mate does it as a job, so must be good at it. and he's got the paint there for free, so 300quids seems right.

Painting hardly costs in the way of parts anyway, a full respray will probably use £100-£150, that would include paint, primer, thinners, hardeners, lacquer etc.
Its the labour and overheads that you pay alot for when you get a good spray job
