This is a mix I've done for Radio Aire, it's for the guest DJ set on the floorfillers show.
Please donload it and let me know what you think of the choice of tracks, I know the mix's aren't perfect, I'm gonna re do them, just tryingto see how well the tracks work with each other at the minute.

Cheers.

Nope you record your set and send it in, they introduce you and bang the cd on.
They don't really have to be floorfillers, but the majority of the set should be.
I'm usind DSS DJ 5 to mix these.

when do they air them mate?
it sounds alright, but majority of the stuff is thing that ive only heard on the grape vine type stuff, so there not really well known etc.
Although you have dropped in a few good tracks like the desree - life mix (sounds like its over a DJ Sharon - Fast Car remix or something), which is mint as
i would change a few tracks and drop in some cheese from ultrabeat and maybe a few other modern tracks etc
also mate, i dont what DSS DJ is like to use, but have a quick look at Acid Pro 4 Its basically a multitracker (with a beatmatch function when you load tracks)...but you can tweak volume, EQ (and other plugins like phasers etc) evelopes and you can wack a compressor/limiter over the whole lot to bring up the volume etc etc
eitherway mate, the selection so far is alright, just a few tweaks etc

DSS DJ is basiccaly like a set of decks but digital of course, that's why I use them, keep the mixs as realistic as posible, so they sound liek they've just been played off the decks.
Acid is more an editting software than mixing isn't it?
I think it's on Saturday... go to www.radioaire.co.uk and click schedule, look for Alex Ppper on Saturday.

yea, NI Traktor is a similar thing then - thats what i use anyways
But no, Acid Pro is a propper multi-tracker for making tracks etc But ive used it in the past for mixing tracks But it was only because i wanted a professional type sound from the whole lot, hence why i could wack plugins on the whole lot, which gave me alot more control. But like you say, it depends what type of sound you want from the whole lot etc

There's enough remakes of Happy Hardcore tracks in the mix- Here I Am, Pacific Sun, Hymn & You're My Angel
I'd do what Dom said and drop in a few tried & tested anthems that are well known along with newer stuff to keep things intresting.

i canne remember alot of these tunes, but a few of the stuff ive heard around and about...but thats the thing, not alot of people will remember it - although obviously depends who the listeners are.
Although dont overload it with too much cheese or hardcore tracks as it will go down as well as me shitting on the bosses bed
But wack in a few classics, like underworld - born slippy, faithless - insomia, benny benassi - satisfaction maybe a few oldy goldies like urban cookie collective - the key, the secret (northstarz remix), Snap - rhythm is a dancer (2002 remix), Olive - you're not alone, Baby D - let me be your fantasy etc
edit - also bootlegs seem to go down well from the previous guest dj tracklist

Dom, as for the DJ Sharon Fastest car.... I heard that track, it's FNP Vs Gabrielle - Dreams... I thought the exact same as you, it sounds so much like Fastest car.... but apparently the sample came from something totally different.
