Hi,

As teh new vauxhalls are fly by wire.............

What is stopping me putting a Z20let into my new corsa? You know one of the engines out of the new zafira gsi for example.........

if u look in the new total vauxhall they have a corsa c with a Z20LET in it but as far as i understand it was alot of work!
think it was done by REGAL but it wouyld cost u alot of money to do it!

I am not asking for a company to do it.

Is it a matter of just swapping loom 'box and engine over? Aslong as it is a new engine that runs on fly by wire like the new corsas?

There's not a lot know about doing this, and my gut feeling would be no, its not that easy.

I seem to remember the engine and general wiring loom for the vehicle are interlinked. Its not as simple as just dropping a new engine in IIRC, you'd prob need a custom ECU... Not sure on this, but thats what I recall.

Yeah i am not too certain about it either. Just wondered if anyone knew for deffinate.

Would it be possible to take a 1.8 SRi engine out and swap that into my corsa c?
Beign the same car would they work? Beacuse i might be tempted to source one of those and possibly turbo charge it then drop it in

iirc the engine loom and wiring loom are wired together which makes the conversion abit interesting?

could run 2 ecus

1.8 sri conversion would be much easier, especially if you can find a donor car

the mtech corsa turbo was running 2 ecus
