all my internals are blitz , my down pipe , de-cat , centre section and can are all HKS

EVO needs a rebuild at 60k? bugger, all the ones that are in my price range both 5`s and 6`s have all done 50k+ miles

Getting worried how expensive an EVO is going to be to maintain.

Might have to be an STi type R, probably version 5.

not all need rebuilds , it all depends how its been looked after , if its been a track day whore you may want to reconsider it.

The rebuilds thing is bull shit, if it's had a proper service history it will be fine. Running costs aren't that bad, mines cost a fortune because I killed my clutch (£1250) and decided to get new brakes (£2k) actual servicing isn't dear at all, yes it needs them every 4k miles or so but there couple hundred each time - not much at all if it's used as a weekend car Petrol isn't good at all but again it wouldn't be in a Type R

TBH SetH its the same as any Jap super car , you are not looking at a cheap car , they are built for performance and need regular services and parts to keep them running sweet.

yeah thats why im getting it as a weekend toy, fiesta diesel for going to work

Think the deciding factor is going to come down to the best specced/priced car at the time wether its the scoob or the evo.

strong paddle clutch/lightened flywheel etc from main dealer (hence couple 100 more than independant place but they've always looked after my car) makes for good launching

Scoobs may be common but it is not every day you see a type-r scoob is it.

And also to be able to play with the centre diff and get the back end out on corners is the dogs nuts. Buy either cos there both good cars but after owning the scoob I regret getting rid so will be getting another next year maybe v6 type-r
