i think that my temperature sensor in the dials display on my corsa b may be broken or reading faulty temps. it often stays at just blue and cold even if i have had the engine running for 20 minutes and sometimes it moves up a bit from the col but returns back down again.... i know its wrong but why???

if the wire popped of, the needle will NOT move at all! this happend to my car few months back!

but its worth checking as it may be loose or somthing as it is a shitty desingn! its just under the thermostat and directly under the coolant temp sensor

from the sounds of what your saying your CTS is fooked! i did mine last week, only £16 from vaux!
but i would thought the ECU light would pop up if the reading was that eratic and cause fueling problems making the car idle and jerk bad!!!!
