how much you got mate?
Anything under a grand will have a single CCD chip and the quality will only vary slightly (different grades of shitness) between a 300 quid camera and a JVC 900 quid jobby etc
Ive used sony handycam things, about 600 quid, for 2yrs during my a-levels and they were alright, but the picture quality was pretty shocking
If your really serious about getting one, then save up and go for something like a canon XL1S or a similar sony, as they offer 3 CCD chips and the picture quality will be usualable for DVDs - especially considering 28 days later was filmed with a few XL1S's
