Standard c20let in a corsa. Boosts upto around 11/12psi then falls down to 5/6psi and then slowing climbs back up again, is that ok?

ALso, the header tank was almost empty and had like crusty custard in the bottom??

Cheers

C20LET should be
0.6bar/ 9psi constant
0.9bar/ 13psi overboost

1. Drive the vehicle until a normal water temperature reading is attained.
2. Choose a long straight empty road (preferably with a gentle incline). Steady the engine speed to around 3000 rev/min and select either third or fourth gear, depending on road speed.
3. Using your left foot on the brake pedal, gently increase throttle whilst applying the brakes to maintain 3000 revs/min.
4. When full throttle is reached at 3000 rev/min check the boost reading on the gauge.
5. If the boost pressure requires adjustment, consult the manufacture's recommendations.

Thats a odd way of doing things CRB.

Overboost should be tested in 5th or 6th, at about 3000rpm floor it, it should overboost then drop and hold a certain value, it might tail off high up the rev range as the turbo cant keep up.

It shouldn't overboost, drop and then rise again. It should overboost, drop and hold.
