Apparantly there is a cable that you can connect directly from the SkyBox to the PC.
Anyone any idea?

Get a TV card, or the USB equivalent, then yes there is.

To do it properly you need an SDI card and a V1 pace box.
If you were to retrieve the data from the sky box any other way, you would just get raw data like the box recieves it from the satellites.
The box treats it as if it were a live stream

You could just get one of those things you plug into the computer and gives you a SCART socket or 2, then just plug the TV-out from the Sky box into the computer.

But then there is a rather drastic loss of quality.
Best way to do it is purchase a dvd recorder they are only about £140 now
