Camshaft timing is different from ingnition timing.
Verniners let you adjust the relative posiiton of the camshaft to the crank, so that max lift occurs at dead top bottom.
You can't use an exhaust one on a std set up as the engine needs the cams sensor to run the sequential injection off.

greasemonkey, u cant run verniers with unichip, it still uses the original management but just gets fooled by the unichip.... the cam position sensor is still needed

if ya cant with standard management ya cant with a unchip.... my understanding is that the unichip fools yer standard ecu(need cam sensor for this)....
with omex and the like a new loom is made without the AFM of cam sensor....
unichip seem very limited to me for the money they cost thats y i'm want omex
well thats my understanding...

your right about the omex etc not needing AFM (which is fooking great) and cam sensor, im sure i read somewhere though about the unichip not needing a cam sensor signal, i feel i might just be wrong now

all it does is fool the standard ecu into thinking it needs more fuel etc...... not replacment management so u need all the original sensors.

It can - you just need a deep pocket Mine makes 150lb/ft of torque - more than a standard 2L
Of course, that's when it works...

he seemed ok at first cos i was getting him to chip my motor but then he asked me why i was hanging round so i said im waiting for it to go on the rollers, its not alot to ask when your paying 240 quid to want to watch your motor on a set of rollers, and he replyed... you cant stay while we work on it. so i got off with my motor and got it done at well lane and even got a video of it hahaha, good luck with getting it back on the road mate
