Is it easier to get a contract mobile phone if you have bad credit, than to obtain a credit card? Just no1 would accept me for credit card etc through bad credit, and i applied for contract phone from O2 website totally thinking id get refused and it was accepted. Or is it down to particular company in question?

Credit cards are hard to obtain with a bad credit rating.

Thats strange cos O2 use equifax and any bad credit would have picked up and you wouldn't have got a contract. O2 are the hardest to get a contact with. If you have only just done it on the website you might get a e-mail advising you have failed the credit score.

No mate got the phone today, Samsung E800. Everything gone thru fine, just activated phone now on website. Never been able to obtain credit on anything before this though, then O2 have given me this. Weird
