Rear ARB and bushes.

I've got all the strut braces and they don't really do anything other than look nice (which is good enough for me).

most strut braces are crap, essecially the alloy ones, you need too have a proper steel one welded in to really do anything. even then wont really be noticable off the track.
rear atb is defo the way to go.

true, triangular one would be best, more strength in it.
true, 99% of people buy them for show (even if they thought it would help performance lol)

Front and rear ARB's, corner weight, sticky tyres, and front strut braces top and bottom, they make a diference in the steering feeling (more precise)if you have all the items fitted as I have

From personal experience ( I ran Spax RSX kit) THE biggest improvement you can make is to play about with camber/castor settings. I found that at 50/60mm on My RSX the fronts had about 2.5 Deg of Negative camber!!! It munched through tyres and in the wet was shocking in the corners. I now run Harry Hockley Grp A front coilover legs with Bilstein 40mm inserts and 300lb springs, removed the front ARB and im running 1 deg of neg camber either side using T.A.S alloy Grp A topmounts. For the rear im still using Spax RSX dampers/springs but im looking to change the springs to some harder higher ones. Corner weighting for road use will make VIRTUALLY no difference in performance.

I'm always racing in country b-roads, and the rear of the car is too light. I'm going to fit the battery on the boot, but I think corner weight is also a valid option.
But Thomas don't you have an hard ride with eccentric top mounts?

Firm i'd say... Not THAT much difference in terms of ride with the topmounts and the bearings DO NOT wear that quickly as others have sugested. I love firm, so long as its not bang/crash of bottomed out suspension I love it... The 300lb springs upfront are what make it firm but steering is so more precise with alloy mounts compaired with sloppy rubbers . Fitting polly bushes over crimbo so should tighten things up further and with the EPS 2.4 turns rack its virtually "quick-rack" as standard.

I actually find my 5door pretty good at the rear but that may well be because it has extra rear weight over a 3 door, also have a couple of subs and its still nice in the twisties. Im pretty pround of my setup as its took me 4 years of playing around to get it right, 4/5 suspension setups (kits) and chop/change/mix/match and countless trips to the alligners to play with diffo caster/camber settings.
