ffs
has happened before and i pushed bonnet down and it worked.
its not coming up, the little lever in footwell feels as if its already pulled, (is slack and so is cable)
but the actual bonnet won't pull up or even pop half up
any suggestions?

Could be the cable is stuck for some reason, rock the bonnet up and down with a bit of force and it might sort it (worked on my other car)

have tried banging bonnet a lot, felt like it bent a little.
am gonna try spraying loads of WD-40 into the latch and leaving it.
it may of frozen as i jet wash it yesterday and left it sitting there overnight

Jack the front of car climb underneath with a lamp/torch and if youv'e got long arms you should be able to reach and undo it with a screwdriver.

@ Tomas - will try that if the wd40 method fails.
@Ditch - that was my first thoughts, before i had a dooby and stood looking at it for 15mins (sometimes that works too)

took me ages and ages of banging, bashing and cursing before the cable sorted itself out. if its frozen shut then maybe some hot water may help

Get a dremel and just cut around the bonnet release latch.

Just spray deicer on it, if its frozen then that would soon sort it, else just get undernearth and knock it open
