Hey peeps,

Got a friend who has a corsa GSI 1.6 16v gsi with
cone induction think its pipercross
kent cams
superchip
stripped
decat exhaust

Just wondering what BHP this would be creating for this car, im one of those lucky 1.2 drivers so i dont have a clue what BHP she could be expecting as a rough guide.

She believes it is 154bhp but would a chip, zaust, cams, cone do that?

Hope one of you guys can shed some light for me

cant see getting near that high in a 1.6 with the throttle body still being on the 'wrong' side of the engine...

120-125 sounds about right.

Tell her to go to a lazy rolling road and she'll have a printout with 1500bhp+ in minutes.

adding neon washer jets would take you closer to 1500 with a stndard engine, never mind cone filter and a chip.

change the inlet on the x16xe and hey presto, 135+ aint gonna beso hard to belive.

if the engine is mint condition(as many Gsi's are now fooked) and everything running "fine" i would say 120-130BHP MAXIMUM!

she really needs a mapped "uni-Chip" not "superchip" and a new inlet manifold is the first thing that should of been done on this engine for performance! upto 20BHP alone from this one mod!

most vuaxhalls are restricted by the inlet set up. i mean look at it, the design on a 20xe or 14/16xe. its rdiculous...................

id say about 115bhp to be honest, cams wont do much to be honest without verniers(3-4bhp?) and the superchip will do bugger all, maybe 4bhp exhaust not much, 1bhp, induction kit not much again, just improve throttle responce....

If your car has 106 the total is 117bhp Get an inlet manifold

i know of the corsa we are talking about there is proof of the rolling road here

from a
decat
induction kit
and mongoose full system the figure shows 126.5bhp im sure katie will post it up soon to proove this this was done at regal tuning

yes i agree with some the above, wont be loads of power there but end of the day it not always how much power u got its way its delivered, and where ur power is at its best

this is why 0-60 times etc are a bad of measuring a cars performance

as for cams..... the engine still has one of the most restrictive inlet systems ever invented....
