i went skiin there a couple of times a few years ago, and ive been in the actual builindg there loads (in the cinema etc)

Is it any good ? Do they let beginners go in there ?
I went to Tamworth when i wasn't that good a fea years back took 4 hours to get there and they threw me off as i wasnt very good then

i've been, its good, expensive though, i cant snowboard for shit, but they let you on the little slope

You need to be able to control your speed, link your turns and use a ski lift.
It's £18ish per hour inc ski's/snowboard and helmet. Clothes are extra.

Yep they do naked ski nights! lol. Was looking into lessons there and 'happened' to be there when it was on.

I've been a couple of times on way home from London. Go one at Castleford now though as it's much nearer.
If you can do the basics then just go for it, I hadn't boarded for 8 years when I went but I had it sussed again after a few runs.
If you know you can't though have a few lessons first, you'll just piss people off if you keep falling off the lift making it stop or get in peoples way. The learner slope runs parallel to the bottom half of the main slope so you can just hop off the lift part way off but if they are running lessons or a group of kids are sledging then they might ask you not to.
Be warned though, it's very addictive, I've been 4 times over the xmas hols so far and I'm going again tomorrow and probably freestyle night on Thursday!
