right, i should have my valver back tonight, but cant drive it yet, as cover note hasnt come through post (dam bank holidays) so ppl who have done this conversion, how have u got new tax, do u go straight to the post office with the insurance and MOT and driving licence and ask for a higher tax disk? or is there forms to fill in, and send off?? iv already sent information to the DVLA about engine increase!

If your tax band has changed, you'll need to send off the V5 to have it updated with the new capacity.

Mine only took a week.

it says i need to get a V70 form. can i still drive the car u think with the old tax disk on, but with insurance?

yes you can run it cos it dont say the capacity on the disc if you've sent off your V% (or what ever it is nowdays) they will just send you a bill asking for the difference at some point

Or if you're pulled over and the police carry out a roadside inspection, they might pick you up on it.

and he can tell them his V5 is in the post in which he has 7 days grace for hsi V5 to turn up

So they'll ask him to produce is V5 in 14 days.. so he'd better have the form filled out and sent off by then.

is this V5 the form which u send off to DVLA, to tell them about the engine increase, by putting down ur new engine number? so do i wait for the DVLA to contact me for the difference or do i go get new tax disk?

Get new tax first, then send off the V5.

iv sent the V5 off last week! just read takes 6-8 weeks for them to process it what u lot think i should do? should i just drive with 1.4 tax? it runs out in feb, so surely they should send the new tax disk through?

Take a look at the V70 form, it tells you everything you need to know
