i'll do the maths for you that don't understand:
corsa 1.4 0-60: 10.5s
GT 0-60: 7.6s
i got to 45mph so i reckon this was around 7s of driving as changing 2nd to 3rd and accleration in 3rd to 60 takes a good few seconds.
As i got away a good couple of seconds earlier either cos he wasn't in a rush or whatever this meant i got a decent head start. Now the 7s the punto had of driving was used, and as it could get to higher speed in that time, hence it caught be but only just got 1/2 a car length ahead before we had to brake. Its simple maths.
And as for the 2.0 vs GT i wasn't aware the GT was 165bhp and would have thought both standard the 2.0 would have had a slight edge.
think i'll give up posting on this one as some of you can't read or don't accept driving conditions.
