I had a totally fair standing start race with one of these last night on a private road. no pedestrians or things to hit for miles around. Anyway the Vr6 was 212bhp at the fly and 167bhp at the wheels i thought that was rather impressive. It is highly modified from the receipts my friend showed me of the car.

back to the race:-

Standing start took off and i pulled away VERY quickly from it and kept pulling away until around 80mph when he started to come back on me but not by a great deal. Was rather impressed as to how my baby stood up to the Golf

Really funny you should say that actually... cos I did race an R32 the other night on the way back from southend... not off the line but from about 40mph up to about a ton and the the thing didnt creep past me untill 85mph

was thinking to myself..... No way man... that aint right... he cant be pushing the car hard enough

but then I did some searching when i got home and if you work it out then the power to weight ratio on them is shockingly poor!

About 165bhp / tonne IIRC up against the GTE's 140-odd bhp / tonne...

then you gotta take into account the transmission loss on a 4wd car
