I wanna copy a dvd to my hard disk, how can I do this?

Or just use DVD decrypter, rip the entire dvd into an ISO image, then use Nero imagedrive to play them off ur PC

copy the vob files off the dvd player - then drag and drop them into your dvd player software

although if you want them as avi/mpegs then yea, you need to rip them - have a butchers at www.videohelp.com

nah download the trials then see which ones best then find a copy on the p2p networks.

Except the AVI would be smaller and take up less space.

No, ripping a DVD takes mere minutes, and converting it to AVI takes a few hours depending on your computer. Doesn't eat your memory, I still use my computer when I do it.
