you do see Ford Focus switchgear in Aston Martins tho

ah so thats where Aston Martin nicked the Crystal starter button from

Different kettle of fish i'm afraid.. the DB9 hasnt got many ford parts anymore..

The Jag XJ220 has ford escort door locks.... Half tennis ball over the lock a swift hit and you've just got yourself a nice Jaguar... do not attempt that as i tmay land you in jail tho...

Joff is right if i'm understanding his statement correctly (excuse me i'm hungover) "the badge is more important than the car" I assume that he's implying that the UK and Europe are badge snobs...

in which case he is correct

No, no cut glass starter in the Fiesta

Believe it was the Vanquish had the electric window switch for example from the Focus...

the Octavia are brilliant cars... but the name Skoda is still mud in alot of peoples eyes...

I'd buy the Octavia before a Passat, simply because the octavia is the same car but alot cheaper..

MK4-Astra the VXR is rumoured to cost £37k

[Edited on 23-01-2005 by h18_oab]

At autopsort 2005 VXR stated a 19K - 20K price bracket for the astra. The car looked superb at the show although i wouldn't buy one - only 6.5 seconds to 60 for 240BHP

When you're paying OTR price for a car, you need to look beyond 0-62 times.

I can't get excited about the overall product or long-term ownership of the Astra VXR.

Monaro is 36K. Astra nothing special for the price tag. Needs Focus RS presence to justify price

i meant 30k rather than sub 30k, and fair enough 37k is alot of money for a vauxhall but for what it is its not a bad price tag, anyway anyone know what the fuel consumption is like on these things?
