Anyone else here running an HKS induction kit? Yes I have already been told that they kill MAF`S by some people so no need to mention it again.

Ive seen that K&N do a detergent spray to clean the filter then oil spray to reoil it. Is there anything similar for the HKS?

Thanks.

I just unscrewd the mesh and lifted the element out. some warm soapy water to clean it, then let it dry off and stuck it back in.

ask Joff. apprently it bumps the filtration effiecntcy from 97 to 98% if you're not using the OEM paper element then you should expect more sh*t to get though.

Pipercross' spray might do the job, but HKS's foam is pretty poor at filtration so even our oil might not be able to make it into a good filter

Alternatively... a couple of drops of 98RON and a match.

Which is the best way to clean foam really. You've got to laugh at the poor saps buying their K&N cleaning kits (<-- me laughing at the poor saps buying their K&N cleaning kits)

Pipercross will outlast a K&N and still maintain peak efficiency.
Foam is king.

Anyone could give a hint how to clen a PiperX Viper? Is it possible to take the foam out of the carbon shell, or what is the best solution?
