Smooth the lip off it which you use to open it, then wire a switch upto the original deadlock wiring to act as a lil un-lock mechanism so when you press a button inside the car, it pops open by a spring & when you have filled up, you just push it shut & it latches & locks itself??
spose in a way a bit like it does on some mercs, etc...

That's pretty much how it's done on the 306, except it's a lever inside the car, not a button.

dont know if this would work or not,
a magnetic clip, the ones you usally find on furniture doors etc, push it in and the door pops open!
Only thing with this would be no way of locking it so would HAVE to have a locking petrol cap or mr MOT man wont approve!

That would work, doesnt matter about the lickin thing as there isnt a lock on the cap itself just the internal cap.

Buy a locking petrol cap then or you will need some way to lock the petrol flap!

You could attach a piece of elastic to the cap and run the elastic down a piece of copper pipe down to the side of the driver seat.
Then a tug on the elastic will open the cap.
Sweet as.
