Hey guys, thinking about getting some new ice, I would like some 6x9's as I have NO rear speakers installed !! and also a couple of subs, I have the front end sorted for the mo. What wattage amp am I gonna need to power 2 x 600 watt subs ?? I was looking at the kicker 800w 4 channel, would this be enough, or do I need more than 1 amp ?. Please excuse the ignorance

You dont need any rear speakers. As for the amp to power your subwoofers either a mono amp will be fine or a 4 channel. What subwoofers are you after. I would suggest getting one better quality one than two cheap ones

Why not any rear speakers ? The subs I was looking at are also kicker ones, the square 12", but I can't remember the model number

Rear speakers drag the sounstage backwards, will ruin the sq from your fronts and will interfere with your subwoofers causing them to disort and possibly blew after time. Invest the money elsewere. To know what amp you need you need to know the full specs of the subwoofers first.
