so far its cost me 7.50 for a big tub of fibreglass same again for bodyfiller and thats it lol £15

thats quality, so what sort of price u been quoted for spraying? i'm tempted to do this but i wudnt weld a plate i'd use the mesh and fibreglass like u... will this crack with a boot build in the car or over time?

i did part of mine over a year ago and still looks fine

spraying a tailgate should be about £100

yeah that sounds about rite, if u do it rite take ur time it shouldnt crack

i thought custom corsa said his dad can do a semi smooth boot for 120 painted ....

yeah you can probably get it sprayed cheaper than 100 and do it urself costs next to nothing

most normal on the street places charge 80-100 quid per panel

i did mine with cans until car was gonna get a full respray (not sure if i'll bother now)

and i sprayed what u marked

lifted ends of spoiler and sprayed a little underneath

just want to say thanks for beardy helping me out 2day on my boot learnt alot from it and plenty more still 2 learn! got abit more work on the boot then going to start on the back bumper smoothing the arches in, below is a few pics from todays work

have u taped that off and primed it or is that like a film over it :S sorry for being stupid but i cant understand wats gone on there.... lol tis nice btw

lol its just the way we masked it off as thats filler primer to see if theres any air bubbles and high and low points and can see where we need 2 add bits etc..

i did mine myself tbh o do all my bodywork and im self taught i just pay for proffessional spraying

when i removed boot lock and wiper i never took anywhere near as much space as u my advice is keep things smaller, no point up-setting unneccessary paintwork dude, i mean i never even went as high up as the window rubber as theres no need to

lol, thats only the primer not actualli the fibreglass and bodyfiller thats only small so its all good!! its going to be all roughed up b4 painting anyway all the tailgate the bottom half
