well depends what you prefer my man,
ccm sell a smoothed panel for 50 notes.
looks good either way in my opinion

i just want suttle, so i mite just colour code it now and then smooth it later if i buy one

would really bother buying a smooth scuttle, as it probably be a terrible fit.
Best thing to do is, smooth the existing standard scuttle, as your guarenteed a perfect fit.

ive got a smooth scuttle. got it at start when pvd first got them and they were terrible. sold me mine cheap coz it needed alot of work to get it rite. its not on the car. my m8s dad had his own carbon fibre moulding company and i was thinkin of askin him how much it would cost for him to make a carbon smooth scuttle. think that would look the dogs with silver paintwork...

aain correct, but i would use p40 as much as u can, so you only need a very tony amount of p38 just to fill out and small indentations

wouldnt use P40 or P38 at all - but thats cause Ive got a roll of low GSM matt - a gallon or so of resin and I'll make my own filler with balloon inhibitors
but p40/p38 is a good alternative - watch p40 tho - cause its almost impossible to sand - really needs grinding flat

I just fitted one that i bought from ebay, fit wasnt too bad, it took me the biggest part of the day to fit it tho and it still needs spraying

i am smoothing mine by grinding the scuttle up so it is rough, plastering it in xpanding foam, smooth that off near enough with grinder or sander, then go over it with a few sheets of fibreglass then sand and filler, that way it will stay reasonably light, its not load bearing so it wont pop out, it will be hard as fook and a perfect job.
