Hey, i just bought a microphone and i plugged it in the correct hole but nothing 
i have it set as the default microphone thingy,
i have 7.1 surround and when i blow into mic, it comes out the middle speaker. im confused anyone help

go into your volume options and make sure the mic option aint on mute

nothing wrong with that, it will only come out the centre speaker anyway

noooo, i want the mic to work on msn but its not recognising it and when i go to talk into it comes straight out centre speaker like not recording or anything

stop the 7.1 surround, might be getting the inputs and outputs mixed up?
