I have been thinking about getting a chip but was just wondering how its fitted. My mate thought that you opened up the ecu and took out the old chip and plugged the new one in and that it but I wasnt sure. Also should my c20xe engined nova have a diagnostics port? if so where should i be looking for it? if it should have one does anyone have a pic of it?
thanks

Diagnostic port is on the engine bay wiring loom, it is a small black plug that will be floating about somehwere...
The chip gets popped into the ECU - you have to open it up and pop out the old one from it's holder the put the new one in, like this:

Should have a diagnostic port. Not too hard to fit if it hasn't been put in. Depends how well your conversion was done.
Its actually quite a big black plug, about an inch and a half.
