Right, i know u have to pay £2-£3 to list the item, im not bothered about that, but the invoice they have sent me is like £36.
I was selling a number plate which i set the reserve at for £1500. i was prepared to pay that sum if the plate got sold, but it didnt!!! so im confused? can anyone tell me if i have to pay this amount?
Cheers in advance!

Check your ebay statement - it will tell you what you've been charged for.

i thought if you set a reserve you got charged even if the item didn't sell. Kinda a way to discourage using reserves

Basic Fees
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you list an item on eBay, you're charged an Insertion Fee according to the table below. If the item sells, you are also charged a Final Value Fee. The total cost of selling an item is the Insertion Fee plus the Final Value Fee.
Final Value Fees
Closing Price Final Value Fee
Item not sold No Fee
£0.01 - £29.99 5.25% for the amount of the high bid (at the listing close for auction-style listings) up to £29.99
£30.00 - £599.99 5.25% of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.25% of the remaining closing value balance
Over £600.00 5.25% of the initial £29.99 (£1.57), plus 3.25% of the initial £30.00 - £599.99 (£18.53), plus 1.75% of the remaining closing value balance
i dident read this and got a bill for £275

Check out: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/fees.html
I'm guessing u put a reserve on it, thats why u got charged. Because ebay charge 2% of the reserve price if you don't sell.
