compression test gauge.
take all plugs out.
screw gauge into first plug hole, disconnect fuel pump and main coil lead.
turn over for ten seconds or untill the gauge stops increasing (will pump up more with each revolution till it peaks).
note down figure and move onto next pot.

after doing all four, drop a teaspoon ish worth of oil down each cylinder and repeat the test.

compression tester....

disconnect the coil power so no spark is getting to the plugs

remove a spark plug, fit the compression tester, turn over engine (will say on instructions how many times, think mine said with accel pedal down fully)

record result

remove comp tester and refit spark plug

do the same for the next 3 plugs

you will as the test gauge is blocking the only opening.
it wont give accurate readings if you only do one at a time.

remove pump relay to disable fuel.

but the cylinders are independant of each other.
you want to measure how much pressure each one can hold on it's own, not how much that one and the next one can hold comulatively.
