Right folks as im going to be putting the xe back together again next week with the coscast head and im needing to know what the most common causes of my problems ??
idle - it seems to please its self one minute ur sittin at the light and she sittin just shy of 800revs and then brrrooooommmm all the way up to 3000revs now try and give it throttle and it sounds as if its drowning ? (power loss)
now i have a spare cleaned out ICV is it worth fitting that ??
air leak on inlet manifold ??
what else could it be

sounds like what mine did with a fooked icv ??

cheers dan , i suppose changing the ICV aint going to do no harm, the heads out so a dodle to change it !!

without a doubt mate ICV.... either clean ur old one out, test the resistance on the ICV with a multimeter... or like ya say, change it... its a common problem apparently
