no thats the wrong linkage mate,
the one u cut and weld is flat steel not the round arm.

got my linkage today! looks cool, didn't have time before work to remove the linkage, when i do should be a great laugh lol!

why does that part have to be shortend ?
does the wiper automatically sit in that position ?

the piece has to be shortened to make the wiper turn more and wipe the whole of the window rather than just part

just finished cutting and fitting mine
its good but theres still a wee bit of the other wiper pokeing through the scuttle
also its not clearing the screen the greatist but am going 2 get a straight arm thats shorter from the scrappy so i can get a bigger wiper blade on it so it clears more
ill let yous know how i get on

nope all i did was.. (dont laugh) put th rivers side wiper onto the passenger side.and chucked the passenger wiper in the garage.

You'll all gonna be pissed off with your single wipers..
I did the same DIY job on my golf, the problem is it leaves the top corners unswept, and really gets on your tits in the rain...

sunstrip covers the tops anywayz...
also fitting a nice 23" blade should cover most the windscreen right?

i just bought the max power haynes book n did what they tell u to do....
if i can convert my wipers into a single one then i'm sure 99.99% of u lot can....The only thing i had 2 buy is a grommet to cover the whole...
cost about £1.20 for 3 from motorworld in chaddesden nr derby....
therefore got 2 spare just incase
