106gti is a lot faster, interior is a bit dated tho! they have the same interior as mk1 106'es which is about 15 years old!
but u do get leather seats if u get one newer than T (i think!) reg.

corsa feels a lot more "solid" and build quality is poor on the pugs (depends on age)
pugs are faster in standard form, and handle a lot better, but to get a good one you need to spend a lot.
id spend the cash buying a mint corsa gsi and tuning it. thats what i did but if your keeping them standard go for the pug.
also, everyone i know whos had a pug gti has had LOADS of major problems!

if i bought one or the other it will be slammed and have alloys, and nice looking interior, and maybe a few lil engine mods if possible

go for the corsa. get a mint gsi for £2k (hard to find but theyre out there) spend £1500 on engine mods and youll be seeing 145 bhp!

not sur eyet, depends how much i get for my car, and how much i have saved, also depends on insurance, which restricts me to the extent that i modify it

i considered geting one for a run around but i'd rather not have constant problems coupled with useless Pug dealers...i got enought problems with the corsa i dont need that in life
Drove one a few times and just handles well thats the only thing i found good with it tbh

i have had both, corsa gsi was crap, slow, bulky, very unstable, and had lots and lots of problems, no end of problems i was forced to sell, 106 was fast, didnt feel so solid but then i didnt care about that, in a different class tbh

PS keeps up with Corsa XE (std), over a standing 1/4 if driven properly might even have the edge

yeah but its like trying to sqeeze a pig through a cat flap to get it to go quick. Too buzzy and labourous IMO hence why they always break.
still ok cars but just dont live up to all the hype people give them
and as have the edge dont make me laugh std for std? i dont think so. I love this argument that always comes up time and time again. If you ask paul J he will tell you as std they wont keep up with XE's and my mates one always get blown into the weeds when mines working

i raced an xe in my gti and it was even stevens all the way.user name is deanmcreynolds on here
gti's are good cars.ive not had any problems(touch wood)not known any1 to have major problems yet.feel a bit loose etc,but there good cars far better fun then my old corsa 1.6 sport.quicker off the mark and it has no problem passing 110-120.
gearboxes are apparently shit on them.thats what happens though if ur never off the redline on them.thumping through the gears.most people read up on the sites bout them.most people on the sites are prone to ragging there cars so its obvious theyl encounter problems as would every car.look after it and u wont have a problem as i do

ive got a saxo vts which is basically same car, chassis, engine etc as 106 gti, mine's one of the 130bhp verisions and all i can say is its a different class to the corsa, never stop smiling when i drive mine
steering is so precise and had plenty of feel, unlike the wooly corsa, engine is superb really zingy and rev happy (only problem is the short gearing, 80mph in 5th comes at 4k revs!) suspension and brakes are great, its a little twitchy when its on the edge but thats all part of the fun
go for the GTI
