No ones perfect nor are midas, but when something goes wrong...in my experience they gladly put it right...

Advise this person not to have another bodyshop rectify the job. Legally the vendor must be given the opportunity to sort it, otherwise they're quite within their rights to laugh this person out of the workshop when they come in with a bill from elsewhere.

I must say i would reccomend midas in future to people dependant on the job you want
Rich is a sound bloke, unfortunately they dont have an oven there to bake the paint so imperfections will occur, but they did a great paintmatch on my car and great job for the price i paid!
if i wanted 100% immaculate i would have forked out 1k for respray etc with a one man classic car restoration company etc, ideally steve metcalf who originally built my car as his work is amazing.
BUT
It all depends what you want and pay, midas work is good considering the facilities they have and price they charge compared to most other people!
I simply didnt have the time or cash to seek out somewhere more specialist as such!
Also rich sorted a problem for me gladly and fast!
Good place to go if youre into crazy mods and resprays but if you want near on factory finish then seek out someone that has weeks of time to prep your car ready for spray work etc as the prep work is what makes the finish

I have read all the above and there are some shocking comments!!
Regardless of quote or cost, the job should be perfect. Its like saying "you only paid £1000 what did you expect? no runs?" That is simply rubbish and completly nonsence!!
As a customer you go to a proffesional to get work done, they give you a quote to do the work, that quote is given by them to do the work at a profit. As proffesionals they should do the work correctly and fault free, you dont see signs above the garage door saying "prices are given but dont be too fussy!"
The reason it costs more at places like QVR, Fulfords etc etc is because thats how much it costs to do a decent/ correct job with enough profit on to make sure the car leaves them being 100%. Also whilst on the matter of QVR it doesnt cost £4000 for a respray  .
Beardy whilst on the midas stand at Donny last year had your car been painted by midas? Also was your bodywork done by midas at the date?
In respect to Midas they are very good at trying something different, my only concern from the cars I have seen is do they have the experiance and knowledge to try these new ideas that customers ask for and do them well enough to with stand the shocks and pressures a car goes through whilst driving?

In respect to fulfords i know andy there,
he sprayed mates corsa and wasnt a 100% immaculate job either,
Mat - you pay for what you get, if somewhere charges you £500 for respray and other is professional restorers etc at 1k price whose going to do the better job!

A full respray is a full respray! If you let them get away with a crap job thats your fault.

also I think Midas regard themselves a lot higher than a back street garage?? With trying for Pimp my ride buisness I would think they hold themselves in high regard.

its a awkward topic.
obviously ur goin to get a better finish with a bake oven but i seen sum amazing stuff with out one.
coach sprayer who is a friend of the family has a bloke who works for him who is seriously over weight and cant really move about but i havnt seen such good work, and on coaches aswell, large surface area must be hard to not get imperfections
i really belive it is all down to prep and experience of sprayer.

Rich and all the guys at Midas are very good.. the thundercorsa paint was a little bit more tricky than just the standard paint job (or so i have heard)
they did rush it (as it was my fault i delivered the car 1 month late and needed it for maxlive)
they bent over backwards to get the car ready and even worked through till 1am the night before the show to get the car finished... yes the bonnet and boot are rusting slightly where the badboy was done.... but all this will be sorted... cos the hardest bit is over now... just redoing the front bumper n some other bits...
Midas =
a very good bodyshop.. plus Rich sorted soooo many things out for me.. Top guy
