A good/bad weekend for my brother, He was 5th fastest in first qualifying, then dropped to 12th in second qualifying, ended up coming 15th in the race, out of 90 riders that started the meet it isn't that bad. Here's a pic from the race of some kid crashing, My bro is the one on the brakes thinking wtf!

The good/bad news is that his engine is fooked! Got it on the Dyno after the race and it was only kicking out 150 BHP, too much oil has been put in and its fooked it all. They Dyno the first three bikes to test for cheating etc and the winners was knocking out 170bhp, so 20 bhp down(shit loads on a motorbike, his second bike was knocking out 160bhp!) and still finishing 15th with a fastest lap half a second off the fastest isn't too bad.

The R6 Cup thing is good with them all the same bike, but are they all the same paint job still?! gets abit hard to watch! Makes it more fair though.
MY bro is on a old R1 (the one John McGunius won the TT on) anyway he reckons a top top tuned one to Superstock rules would be about 165bhp, the New Suzuki (iirc) that the guy who won was on was kicking out 170bhp and thats with just a different exhaust

yes i was reading about the how good the new gixers are, 20bhp is a shcoking amount to give away on a bike

in the R6 cup the championship leader now had yellow faring set

lol quality idea!

Thats why he is happy in a way, even though his engine is royally fooked. If he can manage a 15th with minus 20bhp then its looking good for when he's running well.

He's landed a major sponsor so its kind of a team now as he says his new set-up is amazing. He was saying how it would have probably been his season over with this nackered engine but luckily he has this sponsor so so far is willing to get the cash out.
