u made a good choice, the 1.3 is a very good engine.
Plus ul only have an annual trip to the petrol station, more money for mods.
Really like the 1.7cdti

i been in the 1.7cdti in a astravan. like a rocket!!!! beats the pants of our 1.7dti tho!!

i would consider getting a cdti sri when i get another car

as for the rage can, dont bother, take it too power rust or similar and get a 2" bore turbo back exhaust with decat. this will make quite a bit of difference, more than you could ever expect from a normal non turbo petrol. sounds good too. also get a cone filter, td's love them.

already got one and iv check the parts catalog and the induction is the same as the 1.2 so all goodies like my pipercross should fit. come on march 1st

The fact that i drive a diesel doesnt bother me at all when i get 55+mpg

Its not rocket, but at 19 i'm quite content to have a sub 10s 0-60 car that'll still do 120mph, but low insurance

I think dervs are the way forward.....their becoming quieter, faster and more pwerful all the time. I've only heard real good things bout that new 1.3 lump.......its meant to be a gem to drive, and give untold mpg!!

With the mods u've said, i reckon it'll look sweet anyway

I love diesel.. My 1.5TD is a very good first car.. though.. Maybe I love it so much cuz I fill up for free on my dads diesel tanks (for the lorries)

I drive a 1.9 Golf tdi at work its nippy up to 3krpm then its fucking useless and time to change gear!! No bad round the town but on the motorway its really crap!!
