... to yourself if spending all the money that you have on your car is worth it in the end?

Since I bought my car back in November, I've done the following:

- 4x new tyres (old ones were different tread patterns and worn)
- stainless exhaust system (old standard system was rusty and had holes)
- head gasket (oil leaking)
- fixed deadlocking (didn't work)
- fixed electric aerial (previous owner broke old one and replaced with manual one)
- re-gassed the air conditioning
- changed egr and idle air control valves
- changed oxygen sensor

and normal service items plus belts/rollers/tensioner etc.

This weekend it's going to have the water pump and CTS changed, along with new coolant, and new belts (again).

Still need to get new suspension kit plus new front suspension components (lower arms and top mounts etc.), and still deciding what brakes to get up front - been thinking of getting 288mm V6 brakes, for which I've purchased a secondhand set of 17s as the V6 brakes I want won't fit under my 15s. Just need to get some new tyres for the 17s first...

Oh and also have to get new passenger doors at some point as they are rusting at the bottom (that side of the car was in an accident at some point and whoever fixed the car did a shit job at repairing it judging by the quality of the spraying etc.

People keep telling me I should have just bought a brand new car but I like my Astra!
