i have central locking and fancy de-locking my handles with some vectra ones or rear corsa ones colour coded - but i was wondering whether i need to take any precautions in case of flat battery and the alarm/central locking not working or anything like that or shud i jus stop bein a pussy and do it

i'm considering this too, but i have no lock on my boot, so i duno wat to do? i think i would be ok as my alarm/ immobiliser has a proper backup battery?

well jus make sure u got a really good battery on there... dont think alarm/central locking takes up much juice anyway. so even if it doesnt start i'd hope there'd b enuf juice 2 unlock the doors

think you can hook some wires up to the battery and then tie them up somoewhere hidden, s if the battery does fail u can still charge it.
im sure someone will correct me if im wrong, as i want to do this soon anyway

just read a bit in the turorials and faq secction, very useful if your interested

my fuse blew when i locked my car. i had to break into it, so its a bad idea imo. just leave one lock on.

if you run a power cable from your battery neatly behind the front bumper i think you would be able to charge the battery if it went dead therefore allowing you to open the doors. For an earth just use your brake disc.
