I want to check my cambelt but i dunno where abouts in the engine it is
Its a 1995 GSi and im looking in the haynes book for my old car but its for 97-2000 corsas and it doesnt mention cambelt, only timing belt, are they the same?
Sorry if its a stupid question but usually i just pay someone to do stuff like this
Cheers, James

yeah they are the same thing, usually found under a cover on the left hand side of the block (On most vaux engines I have worked with anyway)
If you dont know where it is, or what its called, then I wouldnt wana touch it mate!

You been sold the car and told its had a timing belt change eh??
Not sure how difficult it is to get the cover off on a 16xe... follow the haynes and you wont go far wrong

If you got any service history it should be stated in there. If not best to get it changed anyway as it prob hasnt been done for a while and if it goes then it'll cost a load for all the bent valves etc.
