Hi, my Astra is up for sale as I want to get a Cavalier/Calibra V6 auto now. I have owned the car since November 2004, and has been well looked after. 
Details are as follows:
1997/P Vauxhall Astra GLS 1.4 16v 5 door auto
- 79k miles
- X14XE 1.4 16v 90bhp engine
- AF13 4-speed auto gearbox with sport and winter modes
- Metallic red
- Front fog lights
- Air conditioning (was regassed in January)
- Central locking with deadlocking facility
- Electric front windows, and heated mirrors
- Electric aerial
- Power steering
- Leather steering wheel with airbag
- 15" Vauxhall alloy wheels with Falken ZE512 195/55/15 tyres all round
- Powerflow cat-back stainless steel exhaust system with twin oval tailpipes
- Smoked side repeaters with silver bulbs (glows orange when lit)
- Debadged and door bump strips removed
- Well documented service history
- 3 previous owners
- MOT and tax till February 2006
- Very cheap to insure and tax
Since I've owned it, I've had the cylinder head skimmed and new head gasket fitted as it was leaking oil (leaked externally, not with coolant etc.) when I first bought the car, new Vauxhall battery and have also changed the EGR/idle air control valves, and the O2/coolant temperature sensors (all OE items).
I've had the cam/fan belts, rollers and tensioner replaced about a couple of weeks after I bought the car (November 2004), and it had the water pump, coolant, and coolant temperature sensor changed in April (I also had another new genuine OE cam belt fitted at the same time, just to be on the safe side).

I am only asking for £1595 o.n.o. for my Astra. It's in very good condition, and no expense has been spared on it. I reckon this is a reasonable price I am asking for, as there are not that many high spec Astras of this age and condition around, plus a lot of time, effort, and money has been spent on it. It's always been kept in clean condition inside and out, and has never let me down!
