Hmm this has spurred me to beat my 5:29 now  ... going back in for some more...
Though it gets frustrating, as I'll check at different parts of the track against my previous times...
i.e. After you go over the white bridgey thing, just before the scary right hander that is flat out but looks like it shouldn't be. (was doing 190 mph round it)
There is a split time... if I get a 34 I just restart instantly... low 33's are good, had a couple of high 32's!
(this gives me an idea of how my lap is going and whether it's worth continuing)
Next one is after the really fast bit into the hair pin and out ...
That split time good in minota is around 57 secs - but varies from 57- to sometimes a 1 min sometimes... Over a min I restart.
Next split time is something like a 1 min 18/19
etc...
So if I hit any of those split times and am slower what I've been before I just restart.

Just got a 5 minute 23 secs round the ring in the minota!
Far from perfect... but fuck having another go... I think I've just done about 350 miles trying to do that, so many times I was having a perfect lap and I'd spin it!
For example the 2nd split time - I only got 58 secs on this 5:23 run... but in the past I got 56's!!  but I've got a head ache now...
If you want pics just say - I've saved the replay this time and can take pics all over the replay? a pic of each split time if you want

Let my B-Spec have a go on push hard... Note my B-spec is pretty good

vs my 5 mins 23! and that was slipping off once too!

To be fair - I care not if anyone is quicker than me as I know for a fact that someone somewhere in the world will always be better than you in whatever you do...
Seriously though - as I explained in the u2u and therefore why you need to say it here again? - I flipped out on that m3 post yes... within about 2 mins I was normal again and didn't care? woah! big deal.
My point is - I did not go into off day or gen chat and make a post saying 'EVERYONE CHECK OUT MY LAP!' - I merely replied to a post h18_oab made about lap times, with my lap time ... ok so I was walking back and forth from ps2 and pc - so made several posts in a row - Shock Horror?
Seriously Nismo - it's not I that should chill out, it's you that should stop thinking your so almightly and just back down and leave it as it is.

Had to dig this up for this..
5'55.987 around the ring in... The Mazda 787B it has 903bhp and a top speed of 218mph (set for acceleration for the ring) but still puts out a sub 6min lap
