if you can afford 284 have a look at the sony DSC-F828 (downside stupid memory sticks)
the samsung V700 is very good for the cash but has bad dhutter lag

fuji F10 not bad but got no real manual control

Ive just been to Jessops and we didnt know that slr lens' were interchangeable with digital slrs. My dad has a Pentax 35mm lens so i might just buy a Pentax digital slr body.
