Ok it has gone on my corsa sri 16v. Have done a search on this to check i am thinking it is the right part! Is it on the inlet manifold at the back of the engine. Can i get to it by removing the header tank or is it more complicated?

YES AND YES. Ditch it, get the blanking plate from Vauxhall (do a search in Help & Mod forum for the part number) leave the valve connected though and you will have fixed it without spending £100+ on a new valve that does nothing but balls your engine up.

On the Corsa it is, if you get a Mantzel everything becomes much easier.
