Well, ive tried buying a Strut Brace for my car and the guy keeps insisting its a SPI and the brace will defo not fit. is he talkin thru his crack?

You fools it's not single point injection it's multi point injection!

The 'E' in the engine code means that it's a multi point injection engine; if it was single point it would have 'Z' at the end!

Yep, you have an X12XE, multipoint fuel injection. The strut brace will hit off the top of the throttle body and wont fit properly, unless its custom made for your engine bay.

the 1.4 8v also came in SPi form, but yours is mpi
