Got the engine sat in place on the mounts, got the starter motor loom fitted, used the one from the Corsa as Lee M told me... I hope I have done it all right. The loom and ECU is next to be fitted, then the cooling and finally the MPI fuel pump... I just need my mechanic to come up and collect my hub carriers to fit the new hubs for me, couldn't get hold of him to do it today.... Hopefully will get the job finished by Friday providing I don't come accross any problems, luckly only had one problem so far r.e. fitting the fuel lines to the MPI fuel rail...

Well, it is just about ok, the holes in it for the bolts that go into the rubber were slightly out making it a bugger to get done up, but not its all torqued up everything is fine
Was thinking about the cooling fan too... As I have a fair ammount of space in front of the radiator I thought I could cut the fan up a bit and make some custom brackets to fit it there... Anyone tried that yet?

Took a two hour lunch break and only really got going at about 12... So there is about 6 hours work there. Also in that time I sorted the gear linkage out. I cheated by using the spacer and an M-Tech short shift though. The short shift feels a little strange though, also dont think I lined the gears up 100% properly yet.

Says 20XEJ on the block... It's the earliest type of 20XE with all the cool parts on it like forged pistons, metal timing belt rollers and a Coscast head... Though only sad people like myself get excited over those details

I know how to fit it in the right place using home made brackets, though it looks like some monkey fitted the engine when you do it that way, thats why I was considering putting it on the front of the rad instead
