how much will it cost for my matey Tom to put a 2.0l into his Nova..
as his 1.6 8 is now deader than dead.. (it has a big hole in it, and its kinda missing a piston)
all he wants to know is.....
how much is a fitting kit (does it comes with driveshafts etc etc)
to get the C20XE engine..
he doing it himself (hes quite handy with a spanner)
will be needing all the usual bits that go with these conversions
brakes
gearbox
loom
although he was also asking.. if he uses webbers or something like that.. then there will be less wiring ?
how much are they ??
Cheers anyone

fitting kits you can get from usual places, as its basicly the same kit as the corsa.
but s said you will need to weld the engine bay.

Get the m-tech fitting kit (mounts, hubs, shafts, powercap) as that takes away the hassle of sourcing individual parts.
He will obviously need the
engine
gearbox (f20)
loom
fuel pump and fuel lines (if his current engine isnt injected)
Can do it all for well under £900
Seam weld the bay, adding harry hockley plates (£90), not essential to add the plates, but why not.
As for the 45's - second hand they fetch about £500.

JUST sold my fitting kit last Monday and I have an F20 box!
Also, need to change the fuel tank depending which one he has to allow for the fuel pump/lines i think.

Not seam weld, stitch weld its better for the car.
If it was a 1.6 8v he will have a MPi pump already.

He needs a Nova fitting kit which has more mounts and no Powercap because he can use the SFi box instead - better option because you keep the torque up.... Is he getting the engine off of the Astra?

nova kit has one spacer(for the gearbox) and one engine mount(offside engine). The hubs are the same as corsa ones and shafts are a slightly different length, about 3/4" shorter I think, probably wrong on the length bit.

and yes, wouldnt consider putting 2ltr in a nova without welding the bay up.
