What features/spec should I be looking at in a Plasma TV? Dont want out of this world picture and sound quality, as long as it will be as good as my rear projection that will do

what's the point in buying a new tv that doesn't have better quality picture/sound that your old one?!

The only reason i'm buying a new TV is the rear projection i've got has the big base unit which the missus wants rid of. I dont want to be spending 4-5k on a TV only looking at spending 2k really, just wanna know what to look for

Not to struck on the picture quality off the large LCD so plasma it is

if you can stretch to 2.5k then looking at the new panasonics, pretty bloody good for the cash, picture is nice and sharp, colours and great and anti-aliasing isnt as much as an issue like it used to be on the old panasonics

just make sure what ever screen you get, the resolution is in its 1200's mark or higher. Also, take an ani film with you when viewing - like i said, anti-aliasing is a big problem on plasmas and lcds.

also mate, do a search, plenty of threads about this and essay answers by me
