OK no it would not blow ure sub up if set up right as there be no need to put the full power in to the sub. 
The list price on the AMP is £374.99 but you can get it much cheaper on the net its around £230 and up. I got it a bit less

Ok i have set the amp up the best a could and oh my my my. It FLEXIS the DOORS and the BOOT with no problem. The realy funny thing about it FLEXING the DOORS is that the windows wear down so with them up  is all i can say. Realy happy with it .

OK i may be selling this sub and box and a secend Sub and box. The secend sub is a FOCAL 33A and a slot ported box like the one in the pic
Reson for sale is i wont to get some JBL sub's to match the amp And girlfriend side i have to sell the 2 i got all ready
